Welcome To The Swansea Log Cabin

The Swansea Log Cabin is somewhere different with an unusual charm that will give you a memorable stay where you can relax and unwind in a peaceful, rural location with pastoral views overlooking the Swansea Valley. Sorry we do not have a hot tub at the cabin.

The Cabin is situated on the side of a hill in the quiet village of Ynysmeudwy, with just a 20 minute walk to the centre of the nearest town of Pontardawe. We offer a multitude of options including mini breaks, activity breaks, weekend breaks, short stays or monthly lets. Deposits can not be refunded but dates can be moved to later dates where there is availability.

From the Cabin, we can arrange a 4x4 Off Road Driving Experience to appreciate even more panoramic views of the surrounding area.

Pontardawe has loads to offer including an Arts Centre with Theatre/Cinema, pubs with live music, restaurants, independent shops, a golf course, an indoor swimming pool, mountain walks and a plethora of walks along canal ways and trails following the River Tawe.

Whats near to the Swansea Log Cabin...

The main attractions close to the Swansea Log Cabin are the Brecon Beacons, the caves of Dan-yr-Ogof, country pubs, Henrhyd Waterfalls and the country roads towards the town of Brecon.

If you are looking to explore the coastline, a few miles down the Valley from the Swansea Log Cabin is Swansea Bay, The Mumbles and the award-winning beaches of the Gower Peninsula. There is a coastal path that is popular with walkers situated in the Gower.

If you are a keen cyclist, there are local cycle paths that can take you down the Swansea Valley to Swansea Bay or Afan Argoed Country Park has also been popular with our previous cyclist guests.

Of course, if you just want to relax and chill out the cabin is a peaceful retreat and local taxis are available together with local buses and the nearest train station is in Neath which is approximately 8 miles away.
